Restaurant Management Careers
We offer a number of career paths for restaurant managers:
Restaurant Management: The most common career path for a new manager begins with Manager-in-Training and progresses into successively higher levels of responsibility and compensation. This path includes Manager, Assistant General Manager, General Manager, Regional Director, etc. The speed of progression will be faster for managers who demonstrate strong leadership skills and deliver results. Qualified entry level candidates will have a minimum of two years supervisory experience in a full service restaurant environment.
Culinary Management: Kitchen operations in our restaurants are a strength, which we have turned into a competitive advantage. With an emphasis in freshly made products requiring more complex procedures than many of the competitors in our industry segment, we need culinary professionals to provide supervision that ensures quality, safety, and execution are consistently met. Chefs/KMs have an opportunity to cross train in the front of the house and work towards becoming a General Manager or remain in kitchen operations and strive to become a Regional Food Supervisor. Qualified applicants for culinary positions will need to be able to communicate effectively in Spanish and also possess a strong cooking background, work ethic, and supervisory skills.
Fast-Track Management: We are always looking for candidates with a successful track record who can hit the ground running and leap frog other Managers based on their outstanding leadership skills and operational experience. Opportunities available for these types of candidates include the potential promotion to General Manager or Regional Director within a short period of time, based on where the opportunities arise and the potential match with the skills and abilities of the fast-track candidate.
General Managers and Multi-Unit Managers: Due to growth and other factors, the company is always looking for top performers with General Manager and multi-unit management experience. Candidates with well-developed supervisory and leadership skills are provided with specialized training leading to an immediate assignment as GM or Regional Director.
