Sonny and Lucille Tillman started Sonny’s Bar-B-Q in 1968 as a neighborhood gathering place for good food, drink, fun, and life-long memories. Sonny’s Managers have one priority; to provide our Guests with the best products and service possible including smokin’ Team Members, great Bar-B-Q and sauces, and Sonny’s Signature Hospitality! All of our Managers deliver these values every day by caring about their own success and the success of Sonny’s, demonstrating teamwork, and working with a sense of urgency.

Our restaurants consist of a team of 3-4 managers; Assistant Manager, Assistant General Manager, and General Manager. Managers begin as Managers in Training, and advance to the Assistant Manager level. Through Sonny’s Development Programs, Assistant Managers can advance to the Assistant General Manager level. Assistant General Managers who achieve outstanding results may be promoted to General Manager.
